| Middle Age weapons are divided broadly into two categories: Defensive and offensive weapons. Defensive weapons served to protect the warrior's body with helmets, armour and shields. Offensive weapons were used to attack and hunt. In a battle, swords and daggers were used for short distance fighting as well as spears and lances. The bow was a long distance weapon. |
